Project Manager

Responsibilities

The REB Project Manager is responsible for the successful implementation of material handling systems, primarily for the Records Storage industry. Key responsibilities include; scheduling, profitability and customer satisfaction.

  • Review all bids, evaluate and prioritize based on lead time, quality and size of job.
  • Source vendor capabilities and costs, place orders for required materials and subcontractors. Checks BOM and orders for accuracy.
  • Prepare project schedule, obtain lead times for materials, manage logistics and freight costs, and regularly update stakeholders (customer, salesperson or vendors) throughout project.
  • Review and approve installation drawings and BOM with Project Engineer (PE) and review special requirements with installation subcontractor prior to start date.
  • Contact local building department and document the requirements for obtaining a permit, review all permit drawings and structural calculation set drawings for accuracy. Obtain sprinkler and electrical contractor requirements to include on rack drawings.
  • Communicate clearly with all stakeholders on each project including; suppliers, subcontractors, customer, sales, building department, and upper management.
  • Review open projects with Director, maintain updated project pricing summary (PPS) sheets, keep updated project schedules and ensure customer invoices reflect agreed terms.
  • Obtain customer project sign-off; addressing all punch list items and reviewing final project with Director.
  • Contribute to developing new and improved processes.
  • Timely and accurate completion of PPS reports and maintenance of project logs.
  • Work on several projects simultaneously, in a fast-paced environment with daily deadlines.

 

Knowledge, Skill, and Ability Requirements

  • Bachelor Degree in Mechanical, Industrial, or Structural Engineering; PMP Certification and/ or training. Or Associates Degree with additional experience considered.
  • Minimum 3 years’ experience in a Project Manager role for industrial construction or implementation projects. Specific experience as PM, PE or Designer for material handling and/or Records Storage solutions is a plus.
  • Demonstrated understanding of; calculating project profitability, project scheduling, permitting requirements, installation requirements, change order process and defining project scope.
  • Expertise with Microsoft Office products (Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook) and MS Project (job costing reports, resource scheduling and tracking)Strong written, verbal and listening skills
  • SAP business software experience a plus
  • Working knowledge of AutoCAD including developing custom tools
  • Demonstrated ability to execute large projects on-time and under budget
  • Travel (40%) to pull permits, measure buildings, and manage installation (domestic and possibly, international)

Responsibilities

The REB Inside Sales/Customer Service Specialist builds and maintains excellent relationships with customers and vendors throughout the sales process; responding to inquiries and quote requests, providing information, processing orders, follow-up, and resolving customer’s issues. Works closely with sales representatives to provide sales support activities. Ensures that each customer has an exceptional positive experience with REB.

  • Answers incoming daily volume of calls, answering callers’ questions or forwarding the call to the appropriate person within REB
  • Resolves customer issues; processing orders, tracking and tracing shipments, processing returns or damaged shipments by working through other REB departments or vendors as needed.
  • Manages claims with freight companies and customers.
  • Create proposals, obtain vendor pricing and write up sales and purchase orders.
  • Efficiently and accurately processes new orders using data entry.
  • Receive, process, and respond to inquiries about products, prices, availability, order status and changes.
  • Ensure that customer issue was resolved, regularly checks in with customers by calling or emailing status updates and follow through completely every time.

  • Processes customer inquiries about shipping information.
  • Keeps customers informed regarding order status, tracking shipments, and identifying late shipments by working closely with REB’s warehouse department and purchasing agent.

  • Fosters long-term relationships with the customer by going the extra mile to meet their expectations.
  • Continually seeks technical and product knowledge in order to stay up to date on storage and material handling products and services.

  • Requires excellent communication skills, sales oriented, and a positive outgoing attitude to customers.
  • Demonstrates excellent computer skills and customer service skills when answering the phone, emailing or otherwise interacting with the customer.

Responsibilities
The REB Sales Representative is responsible for identifying, prospecting, acquiring, supporting and growing the Industrial customer accounts and new business opportunities for sales of REBs products and services, within an assigned target industry or geography. Responsibilities include responding to leads, presenting to companies, preparing take-offs / proposals / quotes, negotiations, coordinating complex decision-making process, and overcoming objections to closure. Individual has and maintains a strong knowledge of storage systems (racking, shelving, mezzanines), material handling products, and industry requirements and solutions. Maintains deep account relationships throughout and after the sale.

  • Follows up on regular leads and generates sales with new and existing customers to meet designated sales goals and ensures the sales and delivery of products and services.
  • Manages assigned accounts, increasing sales in those accounts and preparing appropriate sales information of products/applications and support/training information for prospective customers.
  • Conducts sales presentations, manages contract negotiations, and oversees the sales contract process.
  • Call/visit prospective customers and establish buying cycles, customer needs, budgets, purchasing criteria and create a customer supplier relationship.
  • Work closely with project operations to provide the necessary information for CAD dept. to develop necessary drawings, costs requirements, etc. for client presentations.
  • Prepare sales quote information for customers.
  • Assist project managers with proper installation of product, procuring building permits and obtaining stamped ‘sub-contracted’ engineering approvals. Review the deliverables prepared by the REB internal teams before passing onto client.
  • Cultivates long term relationships with client base by partnering to solve customer problems and builds new industry prospects using prospecting activities.
  • Supports business and marketing initiatives such as lead generation programs, attending appropriate tradeshows or industry customer events and promoting services.

Knowledge, Skill, and Ability Requirements

  • 3+ years industrial equipment sales: storage, warehousing, or logistics sales experience – systems, products or services. Or equivalent experience in related field or related products.
  • Sales or sales support experience selling a technical product beneficial.
  • Hard-working, motivated and results-driven.
  • Solid communications abilities; both written and verbal (including listening).
  • Knowledge of professional selling techniques; presentations, proposals, quotes and account

Responsibilities

The REB Project Coordinator is responsible for providing support to project managers and clients on projects from inception through completion. Primary focus is creating purchase orders in SAP, material invoice approval for projects and balancing project spreadsheets to accounting.

  • Proactively seek opportunities to assist the project team across all project areas in order to maintain aggressive schedules while providing exceptional client service.
  • Administrative duties include reconciling scrap check to correct project, obtaining received inventory valuation, compare job costing PPS reports with SAP reports, resolve discrepancies and enter into profit analysis spreadsheet, approve material invoices for entry to SAP, update vendor information, and scan structural calculations and stamped drawings for department.
  • Maintenance on Access Project Log as required
  • Responsible for scanning and creating all closeout filings

Responsibilities:

The Executive Administrator supports the President and executive team with a variety of clerical and managerial tasks. This role deals with a diverse group of external callers or visitors and has contact with all levels of the company. Independent judgement is required to prioritize tasks and issues, juggle changing plans, and operate efficiently when the President is out of the office.
