Sales Administrative Assistant

The REB Storage Systems sales team is in need of support to handle increasing sales opportunities. We are seeking someone who likes to learn new things, has a curiosity for solving problems and enjoys working in a dynamic environment where you have to be flexible to respond to the business opportunities.

Our sales team handles the sales, processing and delivery of REB products to customers around the country. As a Sales Administrative Assistant based in our Chicago office, you will work with our sales teams, customers, and other departments within the company to answer sales calls, review and process incoming purchase orders.

Successful candidates will have demonstrated administrative, customer service or sales experience, highly detailed and organized, excellent computer skills, web search skills, excellent written and verbal communication skills and be highly motivated to work hard, learn, and contribute to REB’s success. Responsibilities:

  • Answer incoming daily customer calls and email inquiries.
  • Order processing – validating information from the customer to confirm all requirements are met; escalating or expediting orders as required by customers.
  • Customer service/support – handling inquiries from internal and external parties regarding product availability, shipping policies and procedures etc. via email, phone, chats and in-person.
  • Enter sale orders, purchase orders and other data into SAP.
  • Research prices, inventory and create proposals as requested by the salespeople.
  • Rotate with other REB staff at the reception entrance as needed.
  • When necessary, greet clients as they enter the showroom and initiate assistance.
  • Other miscellaneous tasks that may be required for the role (tracking orders, running reports, monitoring order flow, etc.)

Key Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

  • 1+ years’ experience, minimum, as an Order Admin/Data Entry Admin, Customer Service Representative, or similar Operations or Customer Service experience
  • Min. HS degree and minimum of 3 years’ customer service experience
  • Familiarity with Microsoft Office programs, such as Word, Outlook, Excel
  • Excellent organizational and teamwork skills
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced and flexible environment
  • Familiarity with business systems such as SAP or a CRM solution is desirable

Warehouse Associate (Order Picker/Maintenance)

Location: Chicago, IL

Job Type: Full Time

Responsibilities

The Warehouse Associate – performs all aspects of the company warehousing, including shipping, receiving, stocking, order picking and inventory control functions.  Responsibly for light duty maintenance of warehouse and REB grounds. Responds to internal and external customer inquiries regarding inventory.

  • Performs the activities of processing and picking orders.
  • Performs the activities of inspection and receiving of materials, products, or equipment.
  • Performs the activities of inventory control processes, parts location processes.
  • Performs activities of shipping materials, products and supplies.
  • Performs general maintenance, cleaning and organization of the warehouse.
  • Performs cycle counting duties including counting and reconciliation.
  • Performs building maintenance to meet the needs of the company. (Items such as light duty plumbing, electrical, masonry, roofing, milling, mechanical, as well as carpentry, landscaping and any such items that fall into these categories.)
  • Performs light duty construction & demolition to all trades described above; such as changing doors on a closet. (As agreed by both management and employee that work is appropriate for employee or for appropriate for outside contract work.)
  • Performs laborer’s duties. (such as load or unload a truck)
  • All functions include clean up and care of tools supplied by company.
  • Performs assembly or dismantling of office, marketing and warehouse fixtures.
  • Performs consulting and design for proposed facilities projects. (available for discussion on any proposed projects for facilities projects.
  • Light janitorial work – stocking washrooms and kitchen supplies
  • Adheres to all company policies and safety rules.
  • May perform other duties as required to meet the needs of the company. (such as furniture assembly, dismantling furniture, fixtures, or other equipment.)

Knowledge, Skill, and Ability Requirements

  • High School diploma/GED or equivalent.
  • Valid Driver’s license.
  • Good customer service and communications skills.
  • Knowledge of shipping / receiving warehouse software and equipment including; scales, pallet jack and packaging tools a plus.
