Responsibilities

The REB Project Manager is responsible for the successful implementation of material handling systems, primarily for the Records Storage industry. Key responsibilities include; scheduling, profitability and customer satisfaction.

  • Review all product and service bids, evaluate and prioritize based on lead time, quality and size of job.
  • Source vendor capabilities and costs, place orders for required materials and subcontractors. Checks Bills of Material and orders for accuracy.
  • Prepare project schedule, obtain lead times for materials, manage logistics and freight costs, and regularly update stakeholders (customer, salesperson or vendors) throughout project.
  • Review and approve installation drawings and Bills of Material with Project Engineer and review special requirements with installation subcontractor prior to start date.
  • Contact local building department and document the requirements for obtaining a permit, review all permit drawings and structural calculation set drawings for accuracy. Obtain sprinkler and electrical contractor requirements to include on rack drawings.
  • Communicate clearly with all stakeholders on each project including; suppliers, subcontractors, customer, sales, building department, and upper management.
  • Review open projects with Director, maintain updated project pricing summary sheets, keep updated project schedules, and ensure customer invoices reflect agreed terms.
  • Obtain customer project sign-off; addressing all punch list items and reviewing final project with Director.
  • Contribute to developing new and improved processes.
  • Timely and accurate completion of Project Pricing Summary reports and maintenance of project logs.
  • Work on several projects simultaneously, in a fast-paced environment with daily deadlines.
  • Other responsibilities as needed.

 

Knowledge, Skill, and Ability Requirements

  • Bachelor Degree in Mechanical, Industrial, or Structural Engineering; PMP Certification and/ or training. Or Associates Degree with additional experience considered.
  • Minimum 3 years’ experience in a Project Manager role for industrial construction or implementation projects. Specific experience as PM, PE or Designer for material handling and/or Records Storage solutions is a plus.
  • Demonstrated understanding of; calculating project profitability, project scheduling, permitting requirements, installation requirements, change order process and defining project scope.
  • Strong written, verbal and listening skills
  • Expertise with Microsoft Office products (Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook) and MS Project (job costing reports, resource scheduling and tracking)
  • SAP business software experience a plus
  • Working knowledge of AutoCAD including developing custom tools
  • Demonstrated ability to execute large projects on-time and under budget
  • Travel (50%) to pull permits, measure buildings, and manage installation (domestic and possibly, international)
  • Flexibility to work over 40 hours per week as necessary during peak workloads

Responsibilities

The Warehouse Shipping Associate – Performs all aspects of the company warehousing, including shipping, receiving, stocking, and inventory, order picking, control functions.  Respond to internal and external customer inquiries regarding inventory.

  • Update the Warehouse Manager of scheduled collections at the start of each day
  • Manage orders once picked & packed in SAP:
    • Changes Sales Order to Delivery in SAP to print the Packing List & attach to pallets/bundles
  • Coordinate shipment of the order per Sales Order direction
    • Either notifies a nominated shipper, the customer or the REB Sales/PM contact of the order ready to ship and schedule
  • Inspect labels, barcodes and other features of complete orders
  • Checks in drivers that arrive for collections at REB
  • Coordinate loading with Warehouse Manager if more than (1) personnel required for loading
  • Updates SAP Delivery with shipping information (PRO# or tracking #, plus carrier)
    • Retail orders to be updated in Customer’s Master Data Spreadsheet until process is changed
  • Sends a list of shipment Delivery numbers to Account department to invoice accordingly
  • Coordinate shipping of small parcel packs utilizing internet
  • Resolves issues regarding shipped orders.
  • Manage and organizes all important documents
  • Ensures compliance to legal regulations and company policies
  • Adheres to all company policies and safety rules.
  • May perform other duties as required to meet the needs of the company.

 

Knowledge, Skill, and Ability Requirements

  • High School diploma/GED or equivalent.
  • Valid Driver’s license.
  • Good customer service and communications skills.
  • Knowledge of shipping / receiving warehouse software and equipment including scales, pallet jack and packaging tools a plus. Forklift experience a plus.
  • Ability to read and comprehend detailed instructions, correspondences, and shipping documents
  • Computer savvy with knowledge of MS Office including Outlook
  • Excellent organizational and communication skills
  • Problem solving abilities / attention to details

Further Information and Responsibilities

The REB Sales Representative is responsible for goals by prospecting, supporting and growing customer accounts and new business opportunities for sales of REB’s storage, material handling products and services. REB salespeople are not order takers, you will look for opportunities and work with the lead to find the best solution for their operation. Sales Representatives offer value to customers through keen product knowledge, thoroughness, and responsiveness.

Job responsibilities include:

  • Following up on assigned leads and prospecting, presenting to companies, preparing proposals, negotiating, and overcoming objections to closure.
  • Generating sales with new and existing customers to meet designated sales goals and ensures the sales and delivery of products and services.
  • Keeps a sense of urgency to follow up on all inquiries and follows a timely sales process to move the sale to closure.
  • Consistently updating CRM to reflect ongoing communication with opportunities.
  • Maintain a deep account relationship throughout and after the sale to increase sales in those accounts.
  • Maintain own technical product knowledge, understands product capabilities, product specifications, applicable regulations and limitations – keeps customers informed of such.
  • Answers customer’s questions or bid requests, regarding product prices, availability, uses, and credit terms. Creates proposals with prices, credit terms and other bid specifications.
  • Manage assigned accounts, maintain a deep relationship throughout and after the sale to increase sales in those accounts.
  • Work in our headquarters office, Chicago Metro Area with local and national travel as needed to conduct site visits, present on REB’s capabilities, and to attend trade events.
  • Work closely with leads and project engineering department to develop layout(s) that suit the unique requirements of each lead.
  • Assist project managers as needed with proper installation of product, procuring building permits and obtaining stamped ‘sub-contracted’ engineering approvals. Review the deliverables prepared by the REB internal teams before passing onto client.
  • Support business and marketing initiatives such as lead generation programs, attending appropriate trade shows or industry customer events and promoting services.

Knowledge, Skill, and Ability Requirements

  • 3+ years of experience selling or supporting sales of a business supplies, warehouse products or a technology.
  • Ability to think ‘outside of the box’. Must be able to demonstrate instances of helping leads or customers with a solution when roadblocks arise. 
  • Hard-working, motivated and results-driven.
  • Ability to close sales.
  • Bachelor degree preferred but not required.
  • Experience selling or supporting products or services.

The Integrated Systems Project Engineer (ISPE) is responsible for supporting Sales, by developing and designing innovative storage solutions for our Clients.  The ISPE provides recommendations related to operational improvement, and cost reduction.  Once the solution is developed the (ISPE) will determine all required components; obtain competitive bids on all Tier 1 products, prepare scope drawings for proposal submission, and summarize all costing information for Sales.

Once a project is awarded to REB, the ISPE will then work alongside REB’s Project Manager to procure all materials and produce all permitting and installation documentation.

Job Responsibilities - Solution Development 

  • Assist Sales with developing and documenting system specifications and design requirements
  • Utilize experience within Material Handling industry to successfully meet the project requirements
  • Provide the bill of material (BOM), including sizing of all components, prior to obtaining competitive bids, to ensure the design meets all applicable building codes
  • Develop RFP’s for all Tier 1 categories
    • Review all bids from manufacturing partners and subcontractors for accuracy and consistency
  • Develop scope drawings, plan and elevation views, for Client approval and proposal submission
  • Summarize all costing information to Sales for proposal submission
  • Provide guidance to Sales regarding permitting, fire protection, life safety, and other relevant requirements.
  • Clearly communicate the project schedule including final engineering, manufacturing, transit time, installation, etc…

 Job Responsibilities – Project Execution 

  • Assist REB’s project manager with procuring all required materials
    • Review all approval drawings from manufacturers for accuracy
  • Develop required permit submittal drawings
  • Obtain, and review for accuracy, any certified structural calculations and drawings
  • Develop comprehensive and detailed installation drawings
  • Accountable for the accuracy of all engineering aspects of the project including all drawings, calculations, and BOM’s

 Knowledge, Skill, and Ability Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Structural or Civil Engineering or Associates Degree with additional applicable experience
  • Minimum 7 years’ experience designing material handling systems
  • Strong written, verbal and listening skills
  • Expertise with Microsoft Office products (Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook) and MS Project
  • SAP experience a plus
  • Extensive use of AutoCAD
  • Ability to read and understand manufacturing drawings including quality requirements
  • Travel (5%) if required to take building field dimensions and attend meetings
  • Flexibility to work over 40 hours per week as necessary during peak workloads
  • Work on several projects simultaneously, in a fast-paced environment with daily deadlines
  • Occasional site to job site to obtain measurements, analyze rack collapses or unsafe conditions
  • Contribute to developing new and improved processes
