REB Featured in Modern Materials Handling Magazine

REB Storage Systems International’s VP of Business Development Matt Myers was recently interviewed as an authority on mezzanines for Modern Materials Handling’s article “Mezzanines: The Space Race”. The article, which is in the December 2016 issue, discusses options, safety precautions, and other considerations when implementing a mezzanine.

In the article, Matt offers advice on properly designing and installing a mezzanine. Additionally, he provides examples on how mezzanines can optimize a company’s operation. One such example in the article states:

“One customer recently built an extremely large mezzanine hung entirely from the roof,” says Myers, “It definitely cost more than a floor-supported structure, but the mezzanine was located above the shipping operation, where it was important for the customer to maintain a free and clear environment,” Myers says. “They had the foresight to realize it was better to have flexibility with the shipping layout than have columns in the way. For a building with a 30-year life, it is best to plan for change.”
