Lori Palmer Awarded the Lifetime Achievement Award at the i-SIGMA Conference

We are extremely proud to announce that REB’s President Lori Palmer received the Robert Johnson Lifetime Achievement Award during the i-SIGMA conference yesterday! This award is given each year by i-SIGMA to someone that has had an exceptional impact on the records management and shredding industry.

For those of you who know Lori, you know that she is beyond qualified to receive this award. She began her involvement in the records management industry in 1981 when the Association of Commercial Records Centers (ACRC) started. When ACRC expanded to become the Professional Records and Information Services Management (PRISM) Association, Lori remained instrumental in helping promote and grow the industry through being active on PRISM committees, including the national conference planning committee and the executive committee. She is also an advocate for women’s growth within the industry, helping to form the first women in industry committee within the PRISM association. Lori’s relationships grew, and eventually she was elected to the PRISM Board of Directors, where she continued to support the industry and association in so many ways. To date, she has attended every conference, making this year’s conference her 44th.

Even with all these accomplishments, we know Lori would say her greatest accomplishment is the relationships she’s made along the way. Lori has been a mentor and friend to so many in the industry, which can clearly be seen by simply walking down the hallway with her at conferences.
